Monday Musings

This poor little blog is just limping along.  That tends to happen when crap life gets in the way.  It's been tough, lately, and I don't really have a whole lot to say that wouldn't be terribly depressing.  And most of the past few weeks don't warrant any photos, unless you want to see my bitten-down-to-the-quick fingernails as a testament to the stress that's been permeating my life lately.

Finally this weekend brought a bit of a respite to the insanity.  It was still busy and had it's ups and downs, but this is the kind of normal I'm used to.  Still trying to crawl out of the muck, I'm forging ahead and just jotting down the little cogs in my life that keep the merry-go-round turning.

The weekend started with a trip to the vet bright and early Saturday morning to have a foxtail removed from Daisy's ear.

She's much happier now, although Ralph and I are still reeling from the vet bill.

Ralph got more of the turtle enclosure done so they can finally be outside for the nice weather.

It had to be shored up for protection against dogs, cats, rats, centipedes, you name it.  In the wild, these guys have a 95% mortality rate!

Planted some herbs in the kitchen window, along with finally potting the gerbera daisies I got for Mother's Day.

In the summer it reaches about 150° in there, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.  And watering aplenty.

Actually had a bit of time to do some crafting.  (I got the necklace idea from Ashley at Domestic Fashionista.)

And we always have to make time for belly rubs.

I'll spare you pictures of us cleaning the pool.  A leaky solar panel caused us to shut off the pump for a while until we could get it fixed.  The results, well, let's just say they're not exactly picture worthy.  But hopefully soon we'll be able to enjoy the cool, clean waters.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
