Sincerely Fro' Me to You ~ In the Name of Blogging

Ah, blogging.

It's so easy to get sucked into this virtual world.

You get a couple of nice comments from well-meaning people and all of a sudden you think everyone wants to know all the details of your life, as well as tips and tricks and other gems that fall out of your brain.

Like how to make more "green" choices. Or make a cute crafty item. Or color your hair....

So you decide to take mug shots pictures of yourself in your poorly-lit bathroom.

With really bad hair.

And lots of closeups of your dirty forehead.

Because for some reason, you think people might like to see how you make sure to include your widow's peak when coloring your dishwater-blond mousy-brown hair a totally unnatural color for your skin tone.

You think people might actually like looking at your rat's nest you call a mane.

And, as if that weren't bad enough, you figure you have to show "after" pictures, too.

Of course, what you don't realize is after you've washed all the coloring out of your hair, you've also washed off all of your makeup, making you look particularly homely.

And you also don't realize how hard it is to hold the camera just right so that you can get the whole length of your hair...

...without also looking like you have three chins.

And a droopy eye.

And when you finally do decide to look at all these pictures you've taken in order to share your amazing ingenuity and intellect with the world, you realize that even a halfway-decent picture...

...can't erase the previous images that have now been burned onto unsuspecting victims' retinas.

Especially when you notice that you didn't get all the dye off your forehead.

You decide that maybe the world is better off if you don't share all of your brilliance.

Unless of course, it's for a Sincerely Fro' Me to You post.

See other people's brilliant ideas caught on camera at We Are THAT Family. Just know that you've been warned.

aw, aren't you brave for sharing. I color my hair too and it can be frightening some times. Mine turn out Mortisha Adams black one time. Not pretty!!!

What a fun and clever post! It is so funny the things we take pics of now a days b/c we'll want to use it on our blogs. My daugter was having a HUGE ol' embarassing melt down at gymnastics last week and I was dying to capture it for my blog but refrained b/c I already looked pathetic enough as the mom whose kid won't join the class, I didn't want to be the mom whose kid won't join the class and the mom thinks it's picture worthy!

That was pretty awesome. I used to dye at home, but after an incident which shall not be mentioned, I fork over the big bucks.
